Preparation of Mascarpone Mixture

Whip the Cream
In a medium bowl, pour the heavy cream and whip using an electric mixer on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

Combine Mascarpone and Sugar
In a large mixing bowl, add the mascarpone cheese and granulated sugar. Mix on low speed until well combined and smooth.

Add Vanilla
Add the vanilla extract to the mascarpone mixture and mix until fully incorporated.

Fold in Whipped Cream
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture using a spatula until combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

Prepare Espresso
Brew the espresso coffee and allow it to cool slightly.

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso, making sure not to soak them. Place the dipped ladyfingers in a single layer in a 9x9 inch (or similar-sized) dish.

Layer Mascarpone Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top of the layer of ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.

Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

Dust with Cocoa Powder
Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine mesh sieve.
