For Whipping

Method

Preparation of Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 1

    Whip the Cream

In a medium bowl, pour the heavy cream and whip using an electric mixer on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Combine Mascarpone and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, add the mascarpone cheese and granulated sugar. Mix on low speed until well combined and smooth.

  3. 3

    Add Vanilla

Add the vanilla extract to the mascarpone mixture and mix until fully incorporated.

  4. 4

    Fold in Whipped Cream

Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture using a spatula until combined. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare Espresso

Brew the espresso coffee and allow it to cool slightly.

  2. 6

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso, making sure not to soak them. Place the dipped ladyfingers in a single layer in a 9x9 inch (or similar-sized) dish.

  3. 7

    Layer Mascarpone Mixture

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture on top of the layer of ladyfingers, smoothing it out evenly.

  4. 8

    Repeat Layers

Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Finishing Touches

  1. 9

    Chill

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 10

    Dust with Cocoa Powder

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder using a fine mesh sieve.

  3. 11

    Serve

Cut into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy your homemade tiramisu!
