Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper to create a dry rub. Rub this mixture generously all over the full rack of ribs.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another piece of foil to keep them moist. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.

  4. 4

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the BBQ sauce all over the ribs and return them to the oven uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes, allowing the sauce to caramelize.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 5

    Prepare Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of coleslaw mix with your favorite dressing. Toss until evenly coated and refrigerate until ready to serve.

  2. 6

    Bake Cornbread

Prepare cornbread according to package instructions or your favorite recipe. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
