1. Prepare the glass
Take a tall glass and add 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom.
2. Add root beer
Slowly pour 1 cup of root beer over the ice cream to avoid overflow.
3. Layer more ice cream
Add another scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the root beer.
4. Finish with root beer
Pour the remaining root beer over the second scoop of ice cream.
5. Garnish
Top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.
6. Serve
Serve immediately with a straw and a long spoon.
