Prepare the Glass
Place a sugar cube in an old-fashioned glass. Add the Angostura bitters and water. Muddle until the sugar is dissolved.

Add Bourbon
Fill the glass with ice and pour in the bourbon.

Garnish
Stir gently to combine. Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and then drop it in as a garnish. Add the maraschino cherry on top.
