Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a medium bowl, crack the 2 eggs. Whisk them together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Add Milk and Flavoring

Pour in 1 cup of milk, 1 tsp of vanilla extract, and 1 tsp of ground cinnamon into the bowl with the eggs. Add a pinch of salt, and whisk until the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

    Dip the Bread

Take 4 slices of bread and dip each slice into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Allow excess mixture to drip off.

  4. 4

    Heat the Pan

In a skillet, melt 2 tbs of butter over medium heat until bubbly and slightly browned.

  5. 5

    Cook the French Toast

Place the dipped bread slices in the skillet. Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Flip carefully using a spatula.

  6. 6

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the French toast from the skillet. Serve warm with maple syrup and a sprinkle of powdered sugar to taste.
