Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Filling

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.

  2. 2

    Cook the Beef

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Use a spatula to break it apart as it cooks. Sprinkle in the cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Enchiladas

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of enchilada sauce at the bottom. Take a tortilla, fill it with the beef mixture, and some shredded cheese. Roll it up tightly and place it seam-side down in the baking dish.

  4. 4

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Once all tortillas are filled and placed in the dish, pour the remaining enchilada sauce over the top. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top of the sauce.

  5. 5

    Bake the Enchiladas

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with your favorite toppings such as sour cream, cilantro, or avocado.
