Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine red wine, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cool, chop into bite-sized pieces.

Assemble the Wine-O

In a serving dish, pour the prepared red wine BBQ sauce as a base. Sprinkle the chopped bacon evenly over the sauce, followed by the aged white cheddar cheese. Top with fried onions for extra crunch.
