Fried Green Beans
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Green Beans
Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and rinse them under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the cold water until the batter is smooth.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Green Beans
Dip the green beans into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated. Carefully place them into the hot oil in batches, frying for 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Serve
Serve the crispy fried green beans warm with wasabi ranch dressing on the side.
