Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the fresh tomatoes thoroughly under cold water. Remove the stems and slice them into quarter-inch thick slices.
- 2
Prepare the Roasted Peppers
If using jarred roasted red peppers, drain and pat them dry with a paper towel. If roasting peppers yourself, roast them over an open flame or in the oven until the skins are charred, then peel and slice.
- 3
Plate the Burrata
On a large serving plate, place the Burrata cheese in the center. Gently tear the outer mozzarella to expose the creamy interior.
Assembly
- 4
Arrange the Vegetables
Surround the Burrata with the sliced tomatoes and roasted red peppers, artfully placing them around the cheese for a beautiful presentation.
- 5
Season the Dish
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the Burrata and vegetables. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Serving
- 6
Serve Fresh
Serve immediately while the Burrata is fresh and creamy. Enjoy with crusty bread or crackers if desired.
