Strain (optional)
For a smoother juice, pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag into a bowl, pressing or squeezing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the remaining pulp or save it for smoothies or baking.

Finish & serve
Stir in ice if using, taste and adjust with additional lemon or a pinch more salt if desired. Serve immediately chilled in a tall glass.

Sweeten and season
Taste and add honey or maple syrup if you want more sweetness. Add a pinch of black pepper to increase turmeric bioavailability and stir well.

If blended, strain through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag for a smoother texture. Pour over ice if desired and serve immediately.
Beet-Apple Energizer

Prepare produce
Peel and chop the beet into small pieces (use gloves if you want to avoid staining). Core and quarter the red apple. Juice one orange or use prepared fresh orange juice. Pick and rinse mint leaves.

Juice or blend
If using a juicer: run beet, apple, and mint through the juicer and finish with orange juice. If using a blender: combine beet, apple, orange juice, lemon juice, mint leaves and cold water. Blend until very smooth, about 60–90 seconds.

Strain (optional)
For a silky juice, pour the blended mix through a fine mesh sieve or nut milk bag, pressing to extract the liquid. Compost or save the pulp for other uses.

Taste and adjust acidity with a little more lemon if needed. Serve over ice and garnish with a sprig of mint.
