Method
Prep

- 2
If you prefer a colder, thicker shake, freeze the fruit for 30–60 minutes or use frozen fruit in place of ice cubes and reduce ice amount accordingly.
Blend the Shake

- 4
Add fruit and ice
Add the fruit: choose one combination (for a single-fruit shake use about 1 cup strawberries or mango or pineapple, or 1 medium banana, or 3/4 cup blueberries). Add 1 cup ice cubes (or omit if using frozen fruit).
- 5
Optional boosts
If using, add 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chia and/or 1 scoop protein powder. Add 1/2 teaspoon lemon or lime juice if you want brighter flavor.
- 6
Secure the lid. Start blending on low for 10–15 seconds to break up large pieces, then increase to high and blend for 30–45 seconds until smooth and creamy. If the shake is too thick, add milk 1–2 tablespoons at a time and pulse to combine. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes or 1/4 cup frozen fruit and blend 10–20 seconds more.
Serve
- 7
Taste and adjust sweetness: add more honey (1/2 tablespoon at a time) if needed and blend briefly to incorporate.
- 8
Pour the shake into two tall glasses (approximately 12–16 oz each). Garnish with a mint leaf or a thin slice of the fruit used. Serve immediately with a straw.
- 9
Storage: fresh shakes are best consumed immediately. If you must store, transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate up to 24 hours; stir or re-blend before drinking.
