Cooking Instructions

Prepare the Bacon Onion Jam
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the pan. Add the sliced onion to the pan and sauté until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Chop the bacon and stir it back into the onion mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cook the Burgers
Form the ground beef into 4 patties and season with salt and pepper. Grill or pan-fry the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Assemble the Burgers
Toast the Kaiser rolls lightly. On the bottom half of each roll, place a cheeseburger patty, top with a generous amount of bacon onion jam, grilled mushrooms, and drizzle with truffle oil. Place the top half of the roll on and serve immediately.
