Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, mix the peanut butter, maple syrup, almond milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  5. 5

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the vegan chocolate chips gently into the batter.

  6. 6

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. 7

    Cool and Cut

Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then lift out using the parchment paper and let it cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
