Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Protein

In a bowl, combine the steak or chicken with fajita seasoning. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Dice the tomato and chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Grill the Protein

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak or chicken for 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a separate skillet, sauté the sliced bell peppers and onions over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender.

  3. 5

    Crisp the Tortillas

In a separate pan, lightly toast the flour tortillas until they are crispy. You can also shape them into bowls and bake them at 375°F (190°C) for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Salad

In each crispy tortilla bowl, layer the chopped lettuce, diced tomato, sautéed bell peppers and onions, sliced grilled steak or chicken, and top with shredded cheese, guacamole, and sour cream.
