Method
Prepare the Chicken
- 1
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink in the center.
- 2
Season the Chicken
Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. In the same skillet, add garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Slice the cooked chicken into strips and return it to the skillet with the spices. Add lime juice, stirring to coat the chicken evenly in the seasoning. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Assemble the Tacos
- 3
Fill the Taco Shells
Take a taco shell and fill it with a generous portion of the seasoned chicken. Top the chicken with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.
- 4
Add Condiments
Add a dollop of sour cream on top of the tacos. If desired, add sliced jalapeños for extra heat.
- 5
Serve
Serve immediately while the tacos are fresh and warm. Enjoy your delicious chicken tacos!
