Hoagie Filling

Garlic Aioli

Focaccia Bread

Method

Prepare the Hoagie Filling

  1. 1

    Layer the Meats and Cheese

On a clean cutting board, layer the sliced ham, soppressata, and capicola evenly on one slice of focaccia bread.

  2. 2

    Add Cheese and Peppers

Place the provolone cheese slices on top of the meats, then sprinkle the banana peppers and chopped castelvetrano olives over the cheese. Finally, sprinkle the dried oregano on top.

Make the Garlic Aioli

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a small mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well until smooth.

Toast the Focaccia

  1. 4

    Prepare the Focaccia

Brush the outside of both slices of rosemary focaccia bread with olive oil.

  2. 5

    Toast the Bread

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the oiled focaccia slices in the skillet and toast until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Assemble the Hoagie

  1. 6

    Complete the Sandwich

Spread a generous layer of garlic aioli on the inside of the toasted focaccia. Carefully place the loaded slice of focaccia on top of the other slice to form the sandwich.

  2. 7

    Slice and Serve

Using a sharp knife, slice the hoagie in half, serve immediately, and enjoy!
