Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Protein

Choose your protein: chicken, beef, or shrimp. If using chicken or beef, slice into thin strips. For shrimp, ensure they are peeled and deveined.

  2. 2

    Chop the Vegetables

Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Cook the Protein

Add your chosen protein to the skillet and season with garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the protein is cooked through (about 5-7 minutes for chicken/beef, 3-4 minutes for shrimp).

  3. 5

    Add Vegetables

Once the protein is cooked, add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Serving

  1. 6

    Warm the Tortillas

Heat the flour tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until warm.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Fajitas

Place the cooked protein and veggies onto each tortilla. Top with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa as desired.
