Cooking Instructions
- 1
Sauté Chicken and Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent.
- 2
Add Chicken
Add the diced chicken breast to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3
Incorporate Okra
Stir in the sliced okra and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the okra is tender.
- 4
Mix in Tomato Sauce
Pour the light tomato sauce into the skillet, stirring to combine all the ingredients. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- 5
Transfer to Casserole Dish
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and spread it evenly.
- 6
Optional Cheese Topping
If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the casserole before baking.
- 7
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese (if added) is melted and golden.
- 8
Serve
Remove from oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
