Prepare the Nut Filling
In a bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, chopped pistachios, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.

Prepare the Phyllo Dough
Thaw the phyllo dough according to package instructions. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Add the Nut Mixture
Spread a portion of the nut mixture evenly over the layered phyllo. Layer another 4 sheets of phyllo dough on top, brushing each with butter. Repeat the process of layering phyllo and adding nuts until all ingredients are used, finishing with a top layer of phyllo (about 8 sheets).

Cut the Baklava
Using a sharp knife, cut the baklava into diamond or square shapes before baking.

Bake the Baklava
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes, or until the baklava is golden brown.

Finish the Baklava
Once the baklava is done baking, remove it from the oven and immediately pour the hot syrup evenly over the baklava. Let it cool completely before serving.
