Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps it cook more evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill to high heat or heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until it’s very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the ribeye on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it, to get a nice sear. Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, adjusting time for your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice against the grain, garnish with fresh rosemary if desired, and serve immediately.
