Preparation and Assembly
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Place the rolled dough onto a pizza stone or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 2
Caramelize the Onions
Slice the onion thinly. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and brown. Set aside.
- 3
Sauté the Mushrooms
Chop the mushrooms. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the mushrooms, a pinch of salt, and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes or until they are tender and browned. Set aside.
- 4
Prepare the Kale
Wash and dry the kale leaves. Remove the stems and tear into bite-sized pieces. In a mixing bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Massage the leaves to make them tender and crispy when baked.

- 6
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the assembled pizza to the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted.
- 7
Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven. Allow it to cool for a minute before slicing. Serve hot, garnished with additional nutritional yeast if desired.
