In a large pot over medium heat, add diced dry-cured bacon. Cook until the bacon becomes crispy.

Add Potatoes and Broth
Stir in the cubed potatoes and pour in the chicken or clam broth. Add the bay leaves, then bring the mixture to a boil.

Simmer
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

Incorporate Clams and Tomatoes
Add the clams and diced tomatoes to the pot. Stir gently and let simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Pour the heavy cream into the pot and stir well. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
