1

Prepare glass and mint

Place 10 fresh mint leaves in a sturdy highball or Collins glass. Add 0.75 oz fresh lime juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup to the glass.

2

Muddle

Gently muddle the mint, lime juice, and simple syrup 6–8 times with a muddler or the back of a spoon — press just enough to bruise the leaves and release aroma, avoid shredding to prevent bitterness.

3

Optional raspberry variation

If making the raspberry mojito, add 3 fresh raspberries to the glass before or during muddling and press until the berries are broken and combined with the mint and lime. Proceed with the remaining steps.

4

Add rum and ice

Pour 1 oz Captain Morgan White Rum into the glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice (about 1 cup), packing it lightly to the top.

5

Top and stir

Top with 2 oz club soda. Using a long spoon, gently stir 6–8 times from bottom to top to integrate rum, lime, syrup, and mint without overworking the mint.

6

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel and a small mint sprig. Serve with a straw positioned to sip through the mint. Adjust to taste with additional simple syrup or lime if desired.
