Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and rinse them under cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Season the Salmon

Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Asparagus

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus and cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Sear the Salmon

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. When hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

Reduce the heat to low. Add the butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned. Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the salmon fillets with the asparagus on the side, and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top. Serve immediately.
