Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Octopus

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the octopus and cook for about 45 minutes or until tender. Remove from water and let cool before cutting into manageable pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chorizo

In a skillet over medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Slice the chorizo and cook it for about 5-7 minutes until it's crispy. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare Chickpeas

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, then add the drained chickpeas, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until heated through.

  4. 4

    Grill the Octopus

Preheat your grill to high heat. Brush the octopus pieces with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred and nicely marked.

  5. 5

    Serve

On a plate, arrange the chickpeas and chorizo, top with grilled octopus, and garnish with lemon wedges and chopped fresh parsley.
