Cake Preparation

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Slowly add the boiling water to the batter, mixing until smooth.

Bake the Cake
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool Down
Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Strawberry Compote Preparation

Prepare Strawberries
Wash and hull the fresh strawberries, then cut them into halves or quarters, depending on their size.

Cool Compote
Remove from heat and let the compote cool to room temperature before serving.
Assembly and Garnishing

Layer the Cake
Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of strawberry compote on top.

Add Second Layer
Place the second cake layer on top, then drizzle more strawberry compote over the top.

Garnish
Crush the Turkish tea biscuits and sprinkle them on top of the cake along with grated dark chocolate.
