Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Cucumber

Wash the cucumber thoroughly under running water. Cut it in half lengthwise, and scoop out the seeds using a spoon. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or a food processor. Place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth, and squeeze out excess moisture. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium mixing bowl, add the strained Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, fresh or dried dill, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Final Touch

  1. 3

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the tzatziki and adjust the seasoning as needed. If you prefer a stronger flavor, you can add more dill, garlic, or lemon juice.

  2. 4

    Chill the Tzatziki

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
