Lamb Chops

Buttered Rice

Method

Marinating Lamb Chops

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and chopped fresh rosemary. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Lamb

Place the lamb chops in a large zip-lock bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the lamb, ensuring they are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.

Cooking Buttered Rice

  1. 3

    Rinse the Rice

Rinse the long-grain rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice and salt. Stir briefly, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.

  3. 5

    Add Butter

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in the butter until melted and well incorporated.

Cooking Lamb Chops

  1. 6

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 7

    Cook the Lamb Chops

Remove the lamb chops from the marinade and allow excess marinade to drip off. Cook on the grill or in the skillet for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  3. 8

    Rest the Meat

Once cooked, transfer the lamb chops to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
