Steak Filling

Method

Preparing the Steak

1

Season the Steak

In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Rub this mixture all over the sirloin steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

3

Slice the Steak

After resting, slice the steak thinly against the grain.

Assembling the Burrito

4

Prepare the Tortilla

Warm the large flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until pliable.

5

Layer the Ingredients

On each tortilla, start by adding a portion of black beans, followed by the sliced steak, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, salsa, and chopped cilantro.

6

Wrap the Burrito

Fold in the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll from the bottom up to enclose the filling completely. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.

7

Serve

Cut the burritos in half if desired and serve with additional salsa or sour cream on the side.
