Method

Preparation

1

Marinate the Meat

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken or beef, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

2

Prepare the Vegetables

While the meat is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.

Cooking

3

Grill the Meat

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove the meat from the marinade and grill for about 6-7 minutes per side for chicken or 8-10 minutes per side for beef, or until cooked through. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.

4

Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Once hot, add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly caramelized.

Assembly

5

Assemble the Fajitas

Warm the tortillas on the grill or in a microwave. To serve, place sliced meat, sautéed vegetables, and your choice of toppings (sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese, salsa) on the tortillas. Roll them up and enjoy!
