Tiramisù Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of espresso coffee and let it cool to room temperature.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Cream
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until pale and creamy. Add the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract, and milk, mixing until smooth and well combined.
- 3
Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, making sure they are soaked but not soggy.
- 4
Assemble the Layers
In a rectangular dish, start layering the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream on top.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
