Prepare the Ingredients
Slice the corned beef and cheese into thin pieces and drain the sauerkraut.

Assemble the Sandwich
Spread the Russian dressing on one side of each slice of rye bread. Layer the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on one slice of bread, then top with the other slice, dressing side down.

Cook the Sandwich
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Once melted, place the sandwich in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve
Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
