Pork Chop

Creamy Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Buttered Green Beans

Caramelized Apple Demi-Glace

Method

Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Pat the bone-in pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Grill the Pork Chops

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the seasoned pork chops on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Creamy Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and cut the red potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.

  2. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  3. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

In a small saucepan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic cloves until fragrant. Add the melted butter and garlic to the drained potatoes, along with heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Buttered Green Beans

  1. 6

    Prepare the Green Beans

Trim the ends of the fresh green beans and rinse them under cold water.

  2. 7

    Cook the Green Beans

In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch the green beans for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

  3. 8

    Butter the Green Beans

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the blanched green beans, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Caramelized Apple Demi-Glace

  1. 9

    Prepare the Apples

Core and slice the apples into thin wedges.

  2. 10

    Caramelize the Apples

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the apple wedges and brown sugar, cooking until the apples are tender and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 11

    Make the Demi-Glace

Pour in the apple cider and chicken broth, bringing it to a simmer. Cook until the sauce reduces by half and thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
