Method

Preparing the Shrimp

1

Boil the Shrimp

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a rolling boil. Add 2 tablespoons of Old Bay seasoning to the boiling water.

2

Cook the Shrimp

Add the large shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

3

Cool the Shrimp

Remove the shrimp from the boiling water and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for a few minutes.

4

Drain and Serve

Once cooled, drain the shrimp and arrange them on a serving platter. Garnish with lemon wedges.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

5

Combine Ingredients

In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.

6

Adjust Flavor

Add hot sauce to taste, mixing well until all ingredients are combined.

7

Serve

Transfer the cocktail sauce to a serving bowl and serve alongside the shrimp.
