Tuna Marinade

Method

Prepare Tuna

1

Marinate the Ahi Tuna

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture over the Ahi tuna steaks, coating them evenly. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.

2

Grill the Tuna

Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add a drizzle of olive oil. Place the marinated tuna steaks on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Make Remoulade Sauce

3

Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, finely chopped capers, lemon juice, hot sauce, and chopped parsley. Mix well until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.

Assemble the Sandwich

4

Prepare the Buns

Slice the South Union Bakery buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster.

5

Build the Sandwich

Spread a generous amount of remoulade sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with lettuce leaves, followed by slices of grilled Ahi tuna, tomato slices, and thinly sliced red onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
