Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- 2
Prepare the Ham
Place the ham in a roasting pan, cut side down. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
- 3
Make the Glaze
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, black pepper, and water. Heat over medium until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
- 4
Apply the Glaze
Brush the prepared glaze over the ham, making sure to cover all scored areas.
- 5
Roast the Ham
Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with additional glaze.
- 6
Finish and Serve
Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the glaze to caramelize. Once done, let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing thick pieces to serve.
