Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the coffee mixture
Brew strong coffee and let it cool. If using coffee liqueur, mix it into the coffee.
- 2
Whip the cream
In a bowl, whip the heavy cream with the granulated sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- 3
Mix mascarpone
In another bowl, gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until well combined.
- 4
Soak the ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.
- 5
Layer the tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of soaked ladyfingers, then spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer.
- 6
Chill
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- 7
Serve
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings.
