Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the prickly pear puree, white miso paste, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, grated fresh ginger, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well blended.
- 2
Marinate the Salmon
Place the Icelandic salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, allowing the salmon to absorb the flavors.
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 4
Bake the Salmon
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the marinated salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- 5
Prepare the Garnish
While the salmon is baking, chop the fresh cilantro. Set aside for serving.
- 6
Serve
Once the salmon is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve the salmon fillets topped with the remaining marinade and sprinkle with fresh cilantro.
