Charred Broccolini Ingredients
Method
Charred Broccolini Directions
- 1
Prepare the Broccolini
Wash the broccolini under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris. Trim the ends of the stems if they appear woody.
- 2
Preheat the Pan
Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and allow it to get hot. You want the pan to be hot enough that the broccolini will char nicely.
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
While the pan is heating, mince the garlic cloves. Once the pan is hot, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.

- 5
Season and Toss
After 2-3 minutes, sprinkle the broccolini with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Use tongs to toss the broccolini and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until it's tender yet crisp and has a good char.
- 6
Finish and Serve
Once cooked, remove the broccolini from the heat. Squeeze the juice of one whole lemon over the broccolini for brightness and serve immediately as a side dish.
