Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Cook the Tater Tots

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Burger Patty

While the tater tots are baking, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form it into a large patty, about 1 inch thick.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patty

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of cooking oil. Once hot, place the patty in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Cook the Bacon

In the same skillet, add the bacon slices after flipping the burger patty. Cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes, and then remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Fry the Egg

In the remaining bacon grease, crack an egg into the skillet. Cook to your desired doneness, sunny-side up or over-easy, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, place the cooked beef patty. Top it with crispy bacon, the fried egg, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Add the tater tots on the side or on top of the burger for extra crunch.

  7. 7

    Serve

Place the top half of the burger bun on the assembled burger. Serve immediately with extra tater tots on the side.
