Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Plug in your waffle iron to preheat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
- 3
- 4
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 5
Cook the Waffles
Lightly grease the preheated waffle iron with cooking spray or a bit of oil. Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the waffle iron (usually about ¾ cup, but refer to your waffle iron's guidelines). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually about 5-7 minutes.
Topping the Waffles
- 6
Add Butter
Once the waffles are cooked, remove them carefully from the waffle iron and place them on a plate. Top each waffle with a tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt into the warm waffle.
- 7
Add Bougee Berries
Arrange a generous amount of mixed berries on top of the buttered waffles.
- 8
Finish with Whipped Cream
Top the waffles with a dollop of whipped cream for that delicious finishing touch.
