Fry'd Chickin Tenders
Method
Fry'd Chickin Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Start by cutting the chicken breast tenders into uniform strips, about 1 inch wide. This ensures even cooking.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In one bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
- 3
Dredge the Chicken
First, coat each chicken tender in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally coat it again in the flour mixture to create a thick crust.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can check the temperature by dropping a small amount of the flour mixture into the oil; it should sizzle immediately.
- 5
Fry the Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- 6
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
