Prepare the Burger Patties
1. Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
2. Form Patties
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.
Cook the Patties
4. Cook the Patties
Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
5. Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

6. Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
7. Prepare Onion Rings
If using store-bought onion rings, cook them according to package instructions until crispy. If making homemade, prepare and fry them as desired.

8. Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a cooked patty topped with melted cheese. Layer on onion rings, pickled jalapeños, and crispy bacon. Drizzle BBQ sauce over the top and place the top half of the bun to finish.
9. Serve
Serve immediately with additional BBQ sauce on the side if desired.
