Method

Preparing the Steak

1

Season the Steak

Remove the T-Bone steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels. Sprinkle salt and black pepper evenly on both sides of the steak.

2

Preheat the Grill or Pan

Heat a grill or a heavy skillet over high heat until it is very hot. If using a skillet, add olive oil and let it heat up until shimmering.

Cooking the Steak

3

Cook the Steak

Place the seasoned T-Bone steaks on the hot grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, without moving them, until a nice crust forms. Flip the steaks and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer depending on your preferred doneness.

4

Rest the Steak

Once the steaks are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes. This helps to redistribute the juices.

Making Garlic Butter

5

Prepare Garlic Butter

While the steak is resting, melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in fresh parsley and lemon juice, then remove from heat.

Serving

6

Serve the Steak

Slice the T-Bone steak against the grain and serve on a plate. Drizzle the prepared garlic butter over the steak before serving.
