Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the angel hair pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

  3. 3

    Add the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

  4. 4

    Incorporate the Spinach and Tomato

Stir in the fresh spinach leaves and diced tomato. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the spinach wilts.

  5. 5

    Deglaze with White Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate and the sauce to reduce slightly.

  6. 6

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked angel hair pasta to the skillet and toss everything together to ensure the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

  7. 7

    Finish with Cheese

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the Shrimp Florentine hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
