Seasoning and Cooking Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Thinly slice the mushrooms, finely chop the shallots, and mince the garlic. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and butter. Add the shallots and cook for about 2 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring frequently.

  3. 5

    Add Mushrooms and Wine

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until they are browned. Pour in the Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.

  4. 6

    Combine Chicken and Pasta

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it with the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together to combine. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little pasta water to loosen it.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your Chicken Marsala with pasta!
