Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cook the Fettuccine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 2
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce
In a separate large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- 3
Add Heavy Cream
Pour in the heavy cream into the skillet with the garlic and butter mixture. Stir to combine and let the cream simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- 4
Incorporate Parmesan Cheese
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce. Stir continuously until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- 5
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Once the fettuccine is cooked, drain it and add it directly to the sauce in the skillet. Toss the pasta in the sauce until it is well coated.
- 6
Serve
Plate the fettuccine Alfredo and garnish with freshly chopped parsley. Serve immediately while hot.
