Method
Cooking the Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
- 2
Cook Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Grilling the Chicken
- 3
Season Chicken
Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper on both sides.
- 4
Grill Chicken
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and juices run clear. Remove from heat and let it rest before slicing.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
- 5
Melt Butter
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter.
- 6
Add Garlic and Cream
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, slowly pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously.
- 7
Add Cheese and Seasoning
Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts and the sauce is smooth. Season with nutmeg, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Combining Everything
- 8
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- 9
Serve with Chicken
Slice the grilled chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
