Beef Dip Ingredients

Method

Beef Dip Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

In a large pot, place the beef roast and cover it with the beef broth. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Beef

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot. Let it simmer for about 2 to 3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork. Check occasionally and add more broth if necessary.

  3. 3

    Shred the Beef

Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the pot and let it cool slightly. Shred the beef with two forks and return it to the pot to soak up the juices.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Rolls

While the beef is shredding, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the French rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet.

  5. 5

    Assemble and Bake

On the bottom half of each roll, place a generous amount of shredded beef. Top with a slice of Swiss cheese. Place the top half of the roll back on and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are slightly toasted.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve the beef dip with the remaining beef broth in small bowls for dipping.
