Method

Prepare Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the baby back ribs, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker and smoke for approximately 4 hours, or until the meat is tender and has a nice smoky flavor.

  3. 3

    Apply BBQ Sauce

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the ribs generously with the whisky BBQ sauce. Continue to smoke until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.

Make Whisky BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine ketchup, whisky, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

  2. 5

    Cook the Sauce

Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 15 minutes until slightly thickened.

Roast Baby Potatoes

  1. 6

    Prepare Potatoes

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Wash and halve the baby potatoes.

  2. 7

    Season and Roast

In a bowl, toss the halved potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary. Spread them on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Prepare Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 8

    Sauté Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add zucchini, bell peppers, and carrots. Season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Make Coleslaw

  1. 9

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 10

    Chill and Serve

Cover and refrigerate the coleslaw for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
